This is about the best product I have experienced as far as bicycle seat comfort goes, but I can only compare it to what came on the bike (ugh) and the Bell GelTech Ultimate Comfort Bicycle Seat, which was only slightly better than the factory installed seat and not very well made. This one is much better, but don’t think it will give you the level of comfort you get on your comfy sofa at home (you are on a bicycle, after all), because you will be disappointed. However, considering you are indeed bouncing along on a bike and the area where you place your derrière has to be reasonably proportioned, this Schwinn Pillow Top is a good choice. You can definitely feel some cushion and it seems to be well made. I have only taken one fairly long ride on it and when I got off the bike that particular area of my physique still knew full well I had been on a bike for a while, but I did experience a noticeable improvement comfort-wise as compared to prior trips of similar duration. I fully beleive this one is about as good as it gets.

I bought this based on the other reviews of this seat. I rehabbed my 20 year old bike, but it still had the hard, skinny seat on it. My seat, unfortunately, is no longer hard or skinny. So I set out to find something more compatible with my anatomy. This did the trick. The first time I sat on it, I knew I found what I was looking for. It’s padded, wide without looking over-sized, and seems durable enough. Some complained that it moved them too far forward. That works for me as I am shorter and need that extra inch to reach the handle bars comfortably.

My wife and I both have the same bikes, with very similar setups. We both needed replacement saddles around the same time, so I did my homework and purchased two of these Schwinn Pillow Top saddles. What a difference! No more sore rear end! Don’t be fooled by the “pillow top” desciption – it’s just marketing. It’s not “soft” like a pillow. The seat is firm, but comfortable enough for long rides, with a stable frame and well matched springs. The split down the middle of the seat is functionally effective without making the seat feel odd. It doesn’t feel like there is a major section of the seat cut out. Also, it’s not really a big, wide, oversized seat like a lot of the “cruiser” marketed seats. In other words, it doesn’t look out of place or dorky on our hybrid street/trail bikes. I would definitely recommend buying this replacement model from Schwinn.

Great replacement seat if you get at all uncomfortable while riding. The seat is wide and cushy, giving plenty of support to the places where we need it most. Looks good too, not overly enormous. I ride a Schwinn bicycle, so it looks like it belongs. I definitely recommend this seat!

My old bike seat was completely aweful, so when I say this seat is much better, you know where I’m coming from. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now. On longer bike rides on trails, it’s not completely pain free, but much better than before, and it might even be that I still just need to get used to the wider seat. I used it mountain biking this past weekend and it was perfect, I didn’t feel a thing. It seems well made and I expect to use it for a long time. I can imagine there are much better seats out there, but for the price, this is a good deal.

I bought this based on feedback I found here at Amazon. The seat is significantly more comfortable than the stock seat. I had no discomfort riding a couple of miles each day while vacationing on Cape Code. The only thing to note is that the seat adds a couple of inches to the height. Not a problem for most as you can simply lower the seat post, but in my case I’ve got a child seat setup and am not able to lower the seat at all.

I haven’t ridden for years, and my first thought when I purchased my bicycle was of the pain experienced from previous rides. I had previously used cushions that slip over the seat. They were slightly better than the seat itself, and I learned the hard way, that they are easily stolen. I looked for a seat on ebay. Whenever I found one for sale, I googled it to learn more, which is how I found this seat on Amazon. The reviews ranked it as high, and sometimes higher, than more expensive seats. It was also less expensive, including shipping, on Amazon than on ebay. The cost was way below my $75 budget, so I decided to give it a try. I’ve been using it for 3 weeks now and I love it! Anchorage has an extensive trail system and I can ride all day without having lingering soreness for a few days to follow. Installation was harder than I liked, but well worth the effort.

I think that this is the best seat when calculating quality versus price. First of all the price is great, and the quality of the product is also great. This is the third seat that I’ve had on my bike. The first seat was the super-hard and unbearably uncomfortable seat that came with the bike (the seat was pretty narrow). The second seat was a wider seat that I took off of an older Schwinn bike, although it was better it was still pretty hard. Finally I find this seat, and I believe my search for a great, comfortable seat is over. This seat is wide, but not overly wide (it doesn’t take away from the streamline look of a bike). The seat will add 1-2 inches compared to the generic seats, but that’s good for me. With some quick adjustments I was able to find a very comfortable position. The reason that I bought this seat was because I wanted a cushioned seat, and this seat did satisfy that reason (it is very nice on the rear). Without doubt, any seat will make you feel discomfort, and that depends on how long you’ve been on it, but with this seat it’ll take a few more miles of biking for you to begin to feel it.
